About

Terry Gabel moved to Moose Jaw at the age of 11.  The child of a military family, his parents chose Moose Jaw as their final posting before retirement.  Terry attended Westmount and Empire Schools before graduating from Riverview.  He went on to major in English at the University of Saskatchewan.

Terry has worked in several industries from retail clerk to inventory and warehouse management.  He has also done freelance writing and editing assignments.  In recent years, Terry had been dealing with multiple disability issues, and chose to give back to his community by becoming involved in the city’s advisory boards.

With a lifelong interest in human rights and low income issues, Terry’s civic involvement evolved into participating in a variety of city boards over 12 years.  Wanting to better understand the political process, Terry has attended most meetings of City Council as well as their executive and budget committee meetings.

Terry has spent the last 12 years bringing a unique voice to city issues.
